Classic & obscure British Rock collection

Moving along with my collection. Already have many LPs on Discogs including AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Budgie, Caravan, Deep Purple, Man and Hawkwind.

I am now looking at a collection of some real classic as well as some more obscure British Rock Bands. Starting with 2 albums by The Groundhogs including the inimitable guitar picking of Tony “T.S.” McPhee, one of the all time greats in my view.

Two of my favourite LPs are by little known London band Hustler. They did have their 15 minutes of fame with an appearance on Top of the Pops with their single ‘Get Outa me ‘Ouse’. They made two very different albums, High Street is similar in style to UFO while the second, Play Loud, is more direct, more like AC/DC.

Hustler

Bolex Dementia by Hard Stuff is also a favourite of mine, quite different, one that you have to hear a few times but it is a great album in my opinion.

Also have 2 LPs’ by Lone Star. The first is a little pomp rock in style, think Styx. The second, ‘Firing on all Six’, is more direct and, I think, an absolute classic. Guitarist Paul Chapman went on to replace Michael Schenker at UFO, whilst vocalist John Sloman later joined Uriah Heep.

Next, Live Cutz by Nutz, a band I used to watch quite often at the Croydon Greyhound back in the day. I also have a couple of Pink Fairies LPs to list, Up the Pinks!

Finally a couple of really obscure ones. An album titled ‘Rush’ by a band called Strife and ‘Exposed’ by Strider.

So there you have it, some interesting stuff to watch out for. You can keep up with what I have listed for sale here… https://www.discogs.com/sell/list?q=rocknstuff
